As any clothing researcher knows, garment names are often neither standardized nor certain. In this field I have tried to use names that are specific enough to be useful but general enough to be familiar. In some cases, the name is taken from the published literature while in others I have assigned it based on functional characteristics (e.g., with the distinction between "socks" and "hose"). For all of these reasons, the option of making multiple selections is offered.
