General Era -- use this or the date range but not both

HELP

Select one
(clear selection)
Neolithic: Based on archaeological criteria.
Copper Age: Based on archaeological criteria.
Bronze Age: Based partly on archaeological criteria, but especially in Egypt use an arbitrary end date of 1200 BCE.
Early Iron Age (e.g. Hallstadt): Based partly on archaeological criteria, but loosely defined by date as 1000-500 BCE. Examples would be Hallstadt.
Late Iron Age (e.g. Roman Empire, Migration Era) Based loosely on a date range of 500 BCE to 500 CE.
Sub-Roman (roughly 4-7th c.): Based partly on archaeologic definitions and partly on a date range ca. 4-7th centuries. This label is somewhat inaccurate, since it applies generally and not only to regions that had Roman influence.
Early Medieval (roughly 8-11th c.): Based on an arbitrary date range of the 8-11th centuries.
High Medieval (roughly 12-14th c.): Based on an arbitrary date range of the 12-14th century.
Late Medieval (roughly 15th c.) Based on an arbitrary date range of the 15th c.
Early Modern (roughly 16-17th c.): Based on an arbitrary date range of the 16-17th centuries.
Modern (roughly 18th c. and later)
