Shepherds Purse: woodcut - Elizabethan Shepherds

Return to main page

This is a woodcut from a web site on everyday life in Elizabethan England, and the style of the art is consistant with that period, so I am assuming it is an actual work of art of the later 16th century. Both shepherds wear shoulder pouches that are fairly deep, with flaps, and do not fall in the stylistic range of the Shepherds Purse.
