The Hour of the Maréchal de Boucicaut were created ca. 1410-15 in France and are currently located at the Musée Jacquemart-André, Paris ( MS. 2, F. 79). This page shows an Annunciation to the Shepherds genre scene, with two shepherds displaying different styles of pouch. The one on the left wears a crescent-shaped Shepherds Purse, while the one on the right wears a "kidney-shaped" pouch haning from his belt. This latter style is more commonly associated with upper-class or urban figures.
