A pastoral scene from a Book of Hours (Add. MS 35313, f.3) by the Master of James IV of Scotland (made in Bruges or Ghent, despite the artist's nickname), from ca. 1510. Compare with the extremely similar scene from the Da Costa Hours -- evidence perhaps for a common pattern-book. In this scene, only the shepherd standing at the gate in the distance appears to be wearing a Shepherds Purse, and the details are indistinct.
